Bruce Anchor Cruises is seeking 60GT and 150 GT Master License Captains with a Radio Operator's Certificate - Maritime permit to join our team. This is a customer-service-focused position with a strong emphasis on operations safety. We are looking for friendly individuals who take pride in their professionalism, demonstrate strong teamwork, and emphasize vessel safety. Bruce Anchor Cruises operates 7 days a week from May through to October.
Our Captains lead the daily operation of our vessels with a focus on safety, security and guest experience. A flexible schedule is a must. The schedule includes overtime, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 60GT or 150 GT Master's License
- Valid marine medical
- Valid marine advanced First Aid
- Marine Radio Operator Permit
- Experience operating a 3 engine, jet propulsion vessel (150 GT)
- Minimum five (5) years of commercial boat handling experience preferred
- Customer service experience an asset
- Knowledge of a foreign language is helpful
- Post-Secondary education preferred
- Ship Security Officer Certificate an asset
- Mechanical knowledge is an asset

Our Chief Mate , under direct supervision of the Captain, operates Transport Canada inspected passenger vessels in Georgian Bay in a manner that ensures the safety and security of the crew and passengers, enjoyment of the passengers, and respect for the environment. A flexible schedule is a must. Schedule includes evenings, weekends and holidays.

- STCW Training
Wages to be discussed upon hiring
60 GT - up to $26/hour
150 GT - up to $32/hour
Deckhands work under the supervision of the Captain and are required to perform various duties on a vessel (boat) including mooring lines, securing the vessel to the dock, and assisting passengers with information, boarding and exiting the vessels.
Full-time and/or part-time employment opportunities are possible.
Start dates may vary. Seasonal operation from May - October.
Qualifications and Skills:
Valid First Aid Certificate is required.
Boating experience is an asset.
Customer service experience is an asset.

Wages up to $20/hour
- Receive passengers and inform them about boarding procedures; print, sort and distribute boarding passes to passengers.
- Explain products or services and prices, and answer questions from customers.
- Collect outstanding balances for reservations
- Make and confirm cruise reservations using telephones, and computers; maintain computerized inventory of available passenger space and provide information on space reserved or available. Resolve ticketing and special boarding needs.
- Contact guests about changes to their cruise date, time or departure location.
Full time and/or part time opportunities may be available.

Qualifications and Skills
Customer service experience is an asset.
Wages up to $19/hour
Bruce Anchor Cruises transports passengers to Flowerpot Island. A Flowerpot Island Agent is responsible for fulfilling the following duties:
- Answer guest questions on the island.
Keep communication boards updated with sailing times.
Assist customers.
Provide final numbers for all boat captains.
Be a liaison between customers and Bruce Anchor Cruises staff.

Shuttle Bus Drivers are responsible for the safe and efficient transport of guests from Bruce Anchor Cruises parking areas to locations that Bruce Anchor Cruises vessels will be boarding, as well as maintain a friendly and positive attitude every day, with all guests and employees.
To be considered for this role, we ask that you have customer service experience, the ability to work well in a team environment yet have a reasonable degree of independence, the flexibility to work long hours, evenings and weekends until and including Labour Day weekend, outstanding communication skills and a demonstrated value for commitment. A valid F Class license is also required.
Because the daily operation of Bruce Anchor Cruises can change from day to day, Bruce Anchor Cruises reserves the right to alter or include other duties as required.

Bruce Anchor Cruises provides guests with parking throughout the duration of their glass bottom boat cruise. We are looking for parking lot attendants to help us with the following duties:
- Monitor and direct incoming traffic to correct locations.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of parking lots.
- Assist ticket agents as required.
- Assist with crowd control.
- Provide information to incoming vehicles.
Peak summer season employment, full and part time opportunities may be available. Bruce Anchor Cruises operates between May and October.
Wages up to $17/hour
BRUCE ANCHOR MOTEL & COTTAGE RENTALS
We are also accepting applications for our accommodation season:
Many positions are available for part-time (3-25 hours/week, 1-6 days/week) and full-time (30-60 hours/week, 4-6 days per week) with overtime pay.
Position wages range from $18-$50/hour.
